James Carson

I have been a resident of Hastings since 1999, when my wife and I moved here from Sterling, CO with two of our girls. Since then, we have had a daughter born in Hastings, and now currently have 8 grandchildren!

I was blessed to be the store manager of our local Walmart for 25 years and was with the company for over 33 years. Through that time in Hastings, I had the opportunity to be involved in several boards and committees, including the Chamber of Commerce as Board President, Chamber of Commerce Diplomat and Retail Development Committee; YMCA as Board Chair and member; Crossroads Rescue Mission as Board President, Treasurer and board member; CASA as board member and volunteer; and very involved with our church community at the Evangelical Free Church in multiple capacities. I have also been involved with the Hastings Community Theatre, Hastings Pickleball Club and Chorus of the Plains.
I joined the Real Estate Group in 2025, and I am looking forward to serving the community of Hastings in fulfilling their dreams of home ownership and solving the problems that might arise through that process.
