Specializing in luxury resales in Scottsdale, Phoenix, and Paradise Valley, as well as new condominium development in Scottsdale and Old Town Scottsdale, Jim grew up immersed in the world of real estate. In 2008, after a 20-year career in the insurance industry as a national director and VP of special investigation units—where he honed his skills in corporate management and gained executive-level experience—Jim earned his real estate license and joined his family’s long-running brokerage in the Valley. Recognized in the industry as a hardworking professional with a passion and desire to consistently improve and excel, Jim’s unparalleled work ethic and knack for building and maintaining personal relationships have carried over seamlessly to his career in real estate.

Jim, along with his wife (and business partner) Marilyn Cavanaugh, offers clients his expertise at every stage step of the process and is always willing to educate his clients about current market trends to help them achieve their real estate goals. "Since my wife, Marilyn, and I are a team, we bring many years of experience to the table, along with extensive product and market knowledge," says Jim. Jim traditionally tends to a mix of resales, new home listings, and new development projects.

Growing up in a military family, Jim lived across the United States and Italy before earning his BA in Political Science at The University of Connecticut. When he is not traversing Phoenix and Scottsdale in search of the perfect properties for his clients, he often volunteers with The Salvation Army and enjoys golfing, hiking, traveling with his wife, and adhering to his personal philosophy: "Love what you do."
