James’ furniture and rug collections marry timeless elegance with lustrous contemporary materials. He believes that designs which include modern, exotic and classic pieces tell more interesting stories and reflect a well-traveled aesthetic.

James’ family is from Toronto and he spent his early years in Vancouver before spending a globe-trotting youth in North America, Europe and Asia. After studying journalism in the U.S. and art in Italy, James joined the interior design firm, Thom Filicia Inc. In 2005 he launched his own line of furniture and rugs with his wife Miriam.
