Jamie Koppersmith was referred to me by a woman who was so pleased with his work ethic.  She said, "he always returns phone calls quickly."   And.....that was true!  My whole transaction was done long distance. The apartment needed work before it was put on the market and Jamie acted like it was his own house. He attended to details and helped manage workers to make sure everything was done. And then....wait for it....he ALWAYS followed up to make sure the work was done right! All with a personal and caring attitude about me and my family. And we got a good price too! Buying a house mid-pandemic in a "hot" market seemed like a tall order, but Jamie made the process SO seamless and painless. I cannot recommend him enough (and I have - to many friends and family!). We had very specific things we were looking for, and we are so happy with our new home and the entire process. Jamie helped us sell a small condo on Capital Hill. I hadn't worked with him before, but because of reviews and through an introductory call, I felt comfortable listing with him. I was very pleased with his help at each step along the way. He helped with pre-listing issues, including staging, deal negotiation and closing issues (there were a few bumps that he helped smooth). He was always communicative and I believe we got more money with the sale than with an average broker.

Jamie worked with us for more than a year to help us find a new home in our neighborhood. His knowledge of the area, as well as trends and new developments, was second-to-none. He constantly kept us aware of new properties coming on the market that he thought we would like, and was quick to arrange showings. He helped walk us through the process and offered helpful ideas on everything from pricing to staging of our home, and we were happy to take his advice because it was clear he knew what he was talking about. His affable manner and familiarity with other realtors in the area helped make things smooth for us, and his patience and calmness as we reached the final stages of negotiation and closing was an added plus. After buying our condo with Jamie 5 years ago, we knew we'd be working with him again. This was a little bit of a different experience as we were buying and selling at the same time. Jamie made a stressful situation as smooth as it could have been. We had competition when it came to selling our condo, and Jamie's experience allowed him to give us an edge and sell VERY quickly--before the others in our neighborhood! As for buying our current house, Jamie knew how to make our offer as attractive as possible while still working within our comfort zone. He knows the ins and outs of the financial side of things and really put us at ease throughout the process. He is also SO responsive--always answering calls, emails, texts within minutes. While we never want to move again, we know we will be calling Jamie if that time comes. I highly recommend him!

We recommend Jamie Koppersmith with enthusiasm. This is the second time we used Jamie’s services (he served as our agent when we bought our home). We moved cross country, so we needed an agent who could manage the entire sale process while we were 3,000 miles away. We knew that Jamie could do it and do it well. He exceeded our expectations.

Jamie was an excellent counselor throughout the negotiation process. He gave us his honest assessment, based on his experiences with many deals, and helped us make informed decisions. In addition, Jamie literally managed a world-wide negotiation process, with us and the potential buyers in different times zones, and over a long weekend. We were even able to get a price above our asking price.

Jamie also took care of many of the details of the listing and sales process that we could not do because we were out of state. He met with contractors, inspectors, and repair people when needed. We did not worry because we knew Jamie was looking out for us. We felt at ease knowing that a skilled, experience professional like Jamie was taking care of everything. On top of it all, Jamie is a great person.

If we ever move back to the DC area, we’ll be sure to call Jamie.

Jamie came highly recommended by my across-the-hall neighbor (who had worked with him to purchase her condo). It was great advice! I really benefited from Jamie's great combination of professionalism and expertise. Jamie is very knowledgeable about the DC market. He responded to questions (and--if you're like me, worries) and raised issues I hadn't thought of. Beyond the technical/process stuff, he also understands the emotional dimensions of selling a home and moving on.
From our very first meeting in July 2017, I knew that Jamie would be able to guide me throughout the sale of the condo. His description of the apartment and photos he selected for the MRIS listing, demonstrated his great "eye" and wonderful way with words.
Jamie went above and beyond what might be expected of any realtor: he researched and identified a place that could de-fog two large windows, he personally delivered the windows up to the place (relatively out of the way in Silver Spring), and even picked them up after the repair, delivering them to the contractor (whom Jamie recommended) hired to spruce up the unit.

My wife and I just bought a house in Arlington and it was a smooth and easy process thanks to Jamie's help.

He understood what we were looking for from the very outset.

He was super responsive throughout the entire process, by phone, text, email and the like.

He was very attentive to detail and knowledgeable about the market, financing, banks, repairs, and renovations.

He was a great help and was a great advocate showing us around town, being there to support us at the inspection and the close.

In the end, I think his advice was spot on and he helped us get a perfect house at a great price.

This was our 5th real estate transaction that we used Jamie Koppersmith for, and once again he did not disappoint. Jamie has a winning combination of local knowledge, real estate experience, and negotiation skills that have helped us make strategic pricing and offer/ counter decisions to get the best deal, whether buying or selling. His expertise has left us confident that we got the best deal in each of our experiences with him.

In addition, one of the best parts of working with Jamie is that he doesn't disappear after the transaction. Jamie follows up to make sure everything has gone smoothly with the inspections, closing and move-in/ out. He is there with you every step of the way to help smooth out any issues (and we had one transaction with a developer that had MANY issues). Long after his commission check has been cashed, you can rest assured Jamie will be available to answer any questions, offer advise on decorators or contractors, and help you prepare for any future real estate decisions.

Jamie's approach will make even the newest home buyer feel comfortable and he never makes you feel pressured. In fact, Jamie is often the first one to point out issues with a house to help ensure you end up with quality home. We highly recommend him to friends all the time and will only use Jamie for real estate transactions in the DMV.

Jamie is fantastic! We highly recommend working with him! You will be in great hands. My husband and I were first time home buyers. Jamie is so incredibly knowledgeable about EVERYTHING, a great negotiator when it comes to bidding on a house, is very honest and straightforward, patient, very helpful, and goes out of his way to make sure that you find the house that you are looking for. He is quick to respond, very accessible, will show you houses quickly so you don't miss an opportunity to bid on a hot property, knows the market extremely well, has tons of experience, and will educate you on every step the process. He even helped us with finding a contractor for work that we needed done on the house (that we had planned to do when we bought it), and has still been helpful and available to us even after our house sale was complete.
