James Macmillan

Born and raised on Long Island, Jim MacMillan has always appreciated the beauty of the land and the people who make this a very special place. After earning his computer programming degree at New York University, a twist of fate lead him into the health care administration field. He believes it was his years of service at Memorial Sloan Kettering and Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat that helped him develop his keen real estate negotiation skills. Through close contact with patient's providers, dealing with billing inquiries and constant insurance review follow ups, Jim was able to sharpen his unique talent for recognizing a goal and developing the steps needed to achieve it.

As time went on, Jim realized that weekends at his Amagansett home were not enough and decided to make it his full time residence. His activity as a member of the Citizens' Advisory Committee keeps him well connected to the community. Although friends and neighbors offer an abundance of information, his being there and being involved keeps him abreast of local real estate happenings.

Jim's customers and clients appreciate that he can drive down numerous streets in the Hamptons and describe the homes and how much they sold for in the past.
