He was born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania and moved to Florida to attend the University of Miami. James received a full scholarship and was the Manager for the 1983 National Championship Football Team. He was able meet many future NFL Coaches, Players and Hall of Famers like Jim Kelly, Dan Marino, Bernie Kosar, Vinny Testeverde, Jerome Brown, Albert Bentley, and more. The lessons and networking skills he learned at the Athletic Department serves him as well as those imparted in the classroom.

He then went on to a Marketing career beginning with Harte-Hanks Miami/The Flyer. Starting in ad sales, he then went to be promoted to Director of Sales. While at The Flyer, he earned an MBA from Florida International University (EMBA 97). After 12 years, he was recruited to be the Publisher and VP for the Community News Group of local weekly papers, the Weston Gazette and Jewish Journals. The company was sold to the Sun Sentinel. After 4-1/2 years there, James founded the Lifestyle Magazine Group starting with Weston Lifestyle magazine, where he was the Publisher. After growing to six titles in 10 years, an investment group purchased 80% of the company and he stayed on for three years, ending a twelve-year successful entrepreneurial start-up business experience.

As a Marketing/Media Entrepreneur brought James came into contact with some of the most respected individuals within their community. With a distinguished contact list of over 5000 influential leaders throughout the tri-county area and state, he is able to connect to almost anyone in South Florida. This Differentiates him from others in situations requiring sophisticated representation in Real Estate transactions.

Community
James’s personal passion for Service to their community and world led him to Rotary, an organization of men and women professionals and leaders united under the banner of Service to provide assistance to those in need locally and globally. The ultimate goal is to achieve World Understanding and Peace. He was President of 2 clubs - Miami-Kendall (96/97) and Weston (02-03). James was then elected by the Rotarians to be Governor for our District (Dade, Broward, Monroe & Grand Bahama Island) in 2007-2008. There he was one of 538 throughout the world promoting "Rotary Shares!" He continues to be a member of the Rotary Club of Weston.

James’s service has extended to dozens of Charitable Boards throughout the years. Most notable are the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County, YMCA, Charter School @ Weston, and he is a graduate of Leadership Broward. Additionally, his affection and at the urging of a large number of neighbors, he became a Weston City Commissioner in 2010 and was subsequently re-elected in 2014. This gives him a unique view of the community and the ability to learn about the many neighborhoods in the city. In addition, he is on the Board of the Broward League of Cities, where he serves on the Executive Committee as well as the Florida League of Cities where he is Vice Chair of a Legislative Committee. James believes his Marketing, Networking, Sphere of Influence, Entrepreneurial and Educational Experience gives him the Vision and Ability to be an asset to any Real Estate Client.
