Gym is a Walker native, and his extended family has lived in the Leech Lake area for the past 100+ years. Gym and his wife Kathy raised their family in a log home on Benedict Lake that Gym built himself. Now that their three daughters are grown, they’ve built a retirement home on the south shore of Kabekona Bay. A retired teacher, Gym now works in real estate full-time and helps his clients find their perfect “Up North” dream properties. In his spare time, Gym can often be found working on projects for the new homestead. He enjoys reading, gardening, raising chickens and honeybees, hunting for morel mushrooms, and tapping maple trees to make syrup in the spring. He loves fishing, woodcarving, and all outdoor activities. He’s always on the lookout for vintage fishing gear. With his deep knowledge of the area and experience with all aspects of conventional and log home construction, Gym provides excellent service to his clients.
