About James

James was born and raised in Webster and started his career in the real estate business in 1984 after serving four years as a machinist in the United States Navy. He has enjoyed over 30 years in this business, serving clients, which for James is always a very rewarding experience.

In 2012 he decided it was time to open his own firm, Empire Realty Group. With his wife, Cheryl, managing the operation of the office and his son, Mike to assist him with the sales, he knew it would be a new adventure in their real estate journey.

The one thing he didn’t realize when he opened Empire Realty Group was how many other agents would want to join the firm as well. The other surprise was that now that he’s the “old guy,” the next generation is really stepping up into the real estate business. And he can help them. James holds weekly training sessions for newly licensed associates and will continue to do that as long as he has something to offer them.

James is proud of his career and the ability to help families realize their home ownership dreams. And being a Broker Owner of a real estate company, you could say he’s “ALL IN” with real estate in Rochester New York! James has also enjoyed the relationships he has built over the years with colleagues in the business, along with lenders, attorneys, and inspectors he meets along the way.
