Dr. James Yan is the most professional, reliable and patient agent I have worked with. He have provided us sharp thinking on the pros and cons of the properties, based on not only our current needs but also our future expectations in 5-10 years. He is also very knowledgeable on structures, interior design and market. So he can suggest accurate price range after taking everything into account. Moreover, we really appreciate his patience and communication skills, especially in this very challenging COVID situation. For our purchase, he walked us through more than 20 properties and I can always feel his passion on his customers. With his hard work, we finally were able to purchase our dream home and we love it more and more as we live in it longer. Last but not least, James is also a financial advisor and he knows every details about the loan application. He lead us preparing materials for the bank and he always gives us heads-up for the next steps. We finally got our loan approval very smoothly with a very good deal. Thank you so much, Dr. Yan!

Cannot say good enough things about James and his team. We know him from a friend who was his classmate in the same UCSD PhD Program. Not only was James able to find an house in the exact neighborhood we told him, but literally everything planned out exactly like he promised. The loan agent he recommended closed the loan for us in 20 days! Until after we moved in, James was still very patient and responsive to all of our questions!

My wife and I have James as our agent since 2012 when we purchase our first Townhouse in Torrey Highland, and then he helped us with recent purchase as we upgrade to a SFH.

He is very professional and provides a lot of insights when showing around properties( thanks to his Ph.D in structure engineering), he feels like a friend more than agent to us, as he always listen to us, think from our perspective, understanding our needs and help us clear other noise.

During the escrow transaction, he works effectively with seller agents and loan agent, always give us peace in mind. I have recommended him to many of my friends and get all positive feedback.

I am looking forward to have him on board for our next upgrade :)

James is highly recommended for his profiency, consideration and kind hearts. I happened to learn James through a friend, an initial call was very responsive and knowledge, and with several follow up emails and phone calls, I decided to take him as my listing agent. He knows the market very well and also use data to support, as I left the city years ago, he represented me to deal with all the agents, parties relate to my selling progress, with all update and all respect to everyone. Even my tenants who talked to him several times appreciate his consideration and efforts.

I really really recommend James as an listing agent based on my experience, but I believe he would be defintely a good buyer's agent as well.
