Jamila is a seasoned realtor who earned her real estate license in 1991. Since then, she has worked with and learned from some of the industry's top agents and coaches including Gregory Bennett and Johnny Loewy to enhance her understanding of the market and all aspects of real estate. She is a licensed realtor in Washington, D.C., and the State of Maryland. Her professional memberships include the National Association of Realtors, Greater Capital Association of Realtors and the Maryland Association of Realtors. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree with a concentration in Business Administration from Columbia Union College.
As a native Washingtonian, having grown up in the Petworth community, she specializes in assisting buyers and sellers in the Petworth, Brightwood, Takoma, Riggs Park, Columbia Heights neighborhoods as well as the surrounding areas. Her previous professional experiences include working with the State Department, Fannie Mae, D.C.'s Public School System, and the U.S. House of Representatives. As a result of these experiences, she has obtained excellent customer service skills and developed a desire to help individuals achieve their “American goal of becoming a homeowner.” She is determined to provide the same level of caring service to all her clients.
She enjoys helping the community by volunteering with individuals of all ages. Some of her organizational involvements include: AARP Foundation’s Work Search Program, Food & Friends Program, Disaster Recovery Relief Program, Christmas in April, Girls Scouts of America, Komen Acadiana Race for the Cure and she completed the U.S. Marine Corps/AIDS Marathon.
