About Jana

Jana Adams is a compassionate and devoted professional who began her real estate career in 2000. After gaining valuable experience working with a well-respected broker, she accepted an REO Supervisor and Asset Manager position at Luther Burbank Savings. She managed $50-$75 million criticized assets during the downturn of the market beginning in 2008 and supervised all aspects of the disposition of the REO properties, short sales, bankruptcies, and other complex transactions. About 85% of the portfolio was commercial and multifamily, and the remaining assets were mostly high-end single-family homes all over California. The intense asset review sharpened her evaluation skills and gave her the ability to work through unique situations with each asset disposal. It is these effective negotiating and strategic skills that are responsible for her success in obtaining the highest price and best terms of each sold asset.

Then, in 2011, she took on another challenge and obtained her broker’s license. She opened her own brokerage, Northern Nest Properties, in early 2016. With this new opportunity and her past experience in banking and asset evaluation, her learning curve was very different from most and led to success quickly. Her team joined NextHome Wine Country Premier before partnering with Better Homes and Gardens Realty, in her continued commitment to providing her clients with the most cutting-edge marketing and tools in the industry.

Jana was raised in Santa Rosa and now has the opportunity to raise her four children (Luke, Max, Faith, and Brooke) there with her husband, Jon. Jana’s passion for helping others is apparent in her advocacy for her youngest daughter, who has a rare type of Epilepsy. Jana has worked tirelessly to spread awareness and provide education about acceptance and disability rights in her community and beyond. She serves on the board as the Vice President of the newly formed non-profit, Common Ground Society, and supports their mission to help educate and empower acceptance and inclusiveness of people with disabilities.

In her free time, Jana loves spending time with her family, traveling, church, tennis, and meeting new people.
