Janet Hilgeman

Hi, my name is Janet Crews and I am a member of Exit East Carolina Realty and a member of the Christina Block & Associates Team. I received my Real Estate license in 2006 and have lived in the Wilmington area for over 35 years, 15 years in “Pecan Grove” and more recently in “Olde Point” of Hampstead.
I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Management. My professional experience includes a 30 plus year career in developing, writing and managing Major Project Contracts for Duke Energy-Progress at the Brunswick Nuclear Plant in Southport. During my tenure at Duke, I participated in negotiating multi-million settlements resulting from disputes between the utility and contractors.
I am also a member of the “Faith Community” that meets at Scotts Hill Baptist Church and since 2011 have had the privilege of participating in mission trips to Ukraine providing food, clothing and spiritual support to orphanages and villages in the Zhytomyr region.
Often clients find buying and/or selling real estate to be an intimidating and complicated process. My real estate specialty, whether the client is selling or buying property, is to assist clients with negotiating the “best evaluated price” and subsequent development of a solid contract. With my background and experience, it is my goal to minimize client anxiety by representing each one with enthusiasm and professionalism during each stage of the process, particularly during contract negotiations, development and final execution.
