Janet Palmtag is a Southeast Nebraska native and the Principal Broker of the firm. She is licensed in Nebraska and Missouri. Janet is a graduate of Nebraska City Lourdes High School and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Janet is a former President of the Nebraska REALTORS Association and was named the Nebraska REALTOR of the Year in 2016. Janet has been very active in her community and works to promote housing issues.
Janet’s current community involvement includes: Nebraska City Veterans Memorial Building Project, Brownville Concert Series, Nebraska City Rotary, and Nebraska Rural Renaissance. She is a past member of the St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation, the Nebraska City Park Board, the Nebraska City Airport Authority and Airport Zoning Board, and she has served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children ("CASA").
Janet has also served in previous roles as a member of the University of Nebraska President’s Advisory Committee, as a Commissioner for the Nebraska Department of Economic Development; as a Commissioner for the Nebraska Equal Opportunity Commission, and as a board member for the Professional Insurance Agents (PIA).
Additionally, Janet has volunteered outside of Nebraska in New York City, India, and Kenya.
Janet and her husband John have three grown boys and two young grandchildren.
