Dr. Jarrad Plante was born and raised in Greater Boston, Massachusetts. He is a highly educated, accomplished, connected and motivated real estate consultant. His depth of experience in the worlds of business, education, technology and philanthropy is evident in his ability to immediately comprehend the needs of his clients and implement the marketing and/or negotiations to achieve the desired results.
He earned his Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies (Ed.D.) in 2015 and his Master’s in Public Policy (MPP) from University of Dartmouth, MA in 2011. Jarrad is also a Certified Nonprofit Professional.
An Eagle Scout, his experience as the Senior District Executive of the Boy Scouts of America (2005-2009) and with AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (2004-2005) is profound. He performed over 1,800 hours of national service, collaborated with 20 non-profit organization throughout the southeast region of the United States, fundraised, managed summer camp budgets, directed volunteers, recruited and enrolled 1,000 Boy Scout participants and increased sales of the for-profit enterprise of the organization by 50%.
From 2009 through 2011 he was the Program Manager & Team Leader for Commonwealth Corps; UMASS Dartmouth where he connected service partners at middle and high schools and UMASS Dartmouth, recruited, trained and implemented the award-winning service-learning program in 6 middle schools and a high in 2 gateway cities – Fall River and New Bedford, MA.
In April 2013 Dr. Plante moved to Orlando Florida and became the Sr. Special Projects Assistant of the Office of Student Involvement at UCF where he recruited, trained and advised more than 60 student leaders, hosted more than 450 events with 6,800 volunteers serving 37,000 hours to the community annually. He was the Architect of first Volunteer UCF Day and Knight of Service (DAKOS), facilitated leadership assessments, and advised on national service programs resulting in several student leaders serving in AmericCorps programs.
In January 2017 he became the Programs Coordinator for UCF Center for Community Partnerships (CCP) where he led recruitment, training and programming for the Center for Community Partnerships’ Volunteer Center. He identified new opportunities for university engagement and partnerships around innovative practices to benefit the campus and larger community. He also managed Federal Work Study, interns, and student leaders to drive the mission of each of the two centers.
His writings and presentations are vast and include Planting a Seed for Future Opportunity, The Value of Community Partnerships and How to Build Them, Understanding Adult Learners, IgKnighting Volunteerism, Service-Learning: Creating Opportunities to Expand Students’ Worldviews, and But Knowing and Being There are Different Things.
Just speaking with Jarrad for even a short moment is an enlightenment, but to have him represent you in any transaction where his innate gift of bringing people together for the betterment of all involved is a sure win.
