Jay Goodson

Jay Goodson is an Affiliate Broker with RE/MAX Checkmate REALTORS in Johnson City TN, joining the commercial division in March 2014. Promoting the value of the Tri-Cities Area locally, nationally and worldwide, utilizing RE/MAX’s world-class marketing infrastructure, Jay is dedicated to the successful completion of his clients' land use objectives. Whether multi-family, industrial, or retail, he is vigilant in the marketing, competent in its contract management, and is an ally in facilitating the lease and sales goals of Northeastern Tennessee.
Jay is a candidate member of CCIM, and ICSC, and is a member of the Johnson City Chamber of Commerce, Tri-Cities, Tennessee, and National Apartment Associations as well.
Prior to Commercial Real Estate, Jay was the Director of Training, Marketing and Sales for a Fitness Facility, specializing in client acquisition and retention, as well as client and public relations.
Jay was born in Johnson City Tennessee, and has studied at ETSU, as well as Akron University, and has spent 10 years in Asheville, North Carolina in the fitness industry. In 2014, Jay decided to move back home, and join his father in the commercial real estate business. He has a strong interest in the continuing development of Johnson City, and plans on raising his family here.

Jay currently enjoys being involved in daughter’s schooling, and is spending free time learning the nearby hiking trails of Eastern Tennessee with his wife and daughter.
