Jay Mitchell

Jay grew up in Westminster, Maryland where he was on Westminster High’s soccer and wrestling teams. After graduating he attended the University of Maryland and was Vice-President of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity and graduated with an Anthropology and Recreation Degree.

He loved to travel and has been to 49 states, only missing Alaska, and also has traveled to 63 countries. Jay started working in the restaurant business while in college and in Sydney, Australia. When he returned back to the United States he eventually opened up a restaurant in 1979 called Maximillian’s Continental-American Cuisine in Marietta Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta, and was the Chef/Owner for 19 years.
