He has held various volunteer and leadership positions throughout the years, including serving on the Board of Directors for the Southeast Minnesota Association of Realtors from 2010-2017, Vice President of the Austin Part-time Firefighters Association from 2008-2012, Interim President of the Austin Landlord Association from 2012-2016, and serving on the Austin City Council 3rd Ward from 2012-2016.
