As someone who has had the privilege of working at The White House, Jeremy Purcell is a man who takes this sentiment to heart. His approach has always been from the perspective of “How can I help to make a difference?” It is the path he has always followed in life, from his upbringing to his career and his community involvement.

Raised in Brevard, this Southern gentleman was influenced by his parents from the moment he had the power of observation. Through their daily examples—they donated to charity and volunteered their time—they instilled in Jeremy a value system that taught him the importance of being a good family member, friend, and neighbor. They showed him how rewarding it was to give back to those less fortunate and to offer guidance or assistance whenever needed.

Jeremy took those teachings to a higher level than most people ever have the opportunity to reach. After graduating from the University of Tennessee with a degree in business administration and a minor in political science, he found himself working at The White House in the Agency Liaison office. Jeremy facilitated help for people who required assistance with various types of difficulty with the government—from securing deserved veteran’s pay to ensuring needy people had roofs over their head. It was a challenging and extremely satisfying position indeed and, at the end of the day, Jeremy found it exciting to know he had made a difference and initiated positive changes.

When this hardworking businessman is not making his community a better place through his work with the Rotary Club of Brevard or the Brevard/Transylvania Chamber of Commerce, he enjoys playing tennis, basketball, and volleyball. He loves water sports and skiing and tries to travel and explore new places with his wife, Gabriela, whenever his free time permits.
