Jerry has been great to work with, both from a property management standpoint and as a seller’s agent! He is very responsive to getting requests resolved. He is also proactive in helping to address issues to prevent them from escalating unnecessarily. He was instrumental in getting our house in selling condition, finding quality repair people, making recommendations and marketing to get us visibility to potential buyers. We felt he was truly a partner, looking out for our best interest, not just looking for a commission.

Jerry took over the management of this property when it presented several problems. The tenants at that time had financial problems and substantial renovations were required. I had moved from Chapel Hill so I was no longer able to visit the property to do a first hand analysis of the issues. My then property manger in Chapel Hill recommended Jerry as he, Jerry, was also managing other properties in Raleigh.

Jerry worked out a resolution that permitted the then tenants to find other accommodations. Jerry undertook the renovation issues (floors, appliances) and problems with the HOA. He developed a positive working relationship with the HOA (notoriously difficult) and was able to have it make certain outstanding improvements.

Because of other considerations I decided to sell my rental properties in Chapel Hill and Raleigh. Jerry did a superb job and handled all the detail of listing the property, negotiating the offers and closing the transaction.

All in all I would rank Jerry's management skills and the top level of competence and recommend him wholeheartedly.

Jerry is a consummate professional. He is knowledgeable about all aspects of real estate, and especially how that applies to the Triangle market. He has a passion for the business, continually striving to better himself through classes and courses, as well as adeptly building useful relationships and contacts at all levels and corners of the arena. He introduced me to the person at the bank that I used to finance my property, when I had previously been unable to find a willing lender, despite extensive searching. Jerry is an excellent communicator; he is responsive and a great listener. He's optimistic and encouraging during the often frustrating process (especially recently in the Triangle) of finding and closing on a property. He is patient, with his client's best interests always in the forefront. He has never been anything less than totally honest, practicing only the highest ethical standards. The rules, and what's right matter to Jerry. He is a skillful negotiator, taking competent, considerate control of the process, while allowing me to guide the way where I wanted. His advice was always sound. He is willing to be aggressive, but is always polite and respectful. I feel fortunate to have found Jerry, and could not recommend him any more highly.

Buying a home is a big investment and sometimes the process can be very stressful. But if you are fortunate to find a real estate agent who is not only knowledgeable of the process, but approaches the effort required as if he or she was making the investment for him or herself, that helps in alleviating the stress from the buyer. I say this because I had direct experience with real estate agent Jerry Johnson (who now owns a brokerage) when we moved into the Raleigh area nearly 5yr ago and was looking to buy our home. We were looking to find and close on a home within a month. Given the low inventory and with many buyers on the market at that time, it almost seemed improbable. But with Jerry on our side, we made it happen. With his experience and desire for success in what he does, Jerry always reminded us about the next step and what we needed to have ready while we were still working on satisfying the requirements of the current step. He wanted to be sure there was no obstacle as we navigated from one process to the next given the time constraint. We followed his direction and successfully closed on our home within a month. We are enjoying the home he helped us buy and are glad we chose him as our real estate agent.

Jerry has helped many other families buy their homes and I don’t expect their experiences to be anything other than very pleasant. He is a nice and trusted person to work with. So, if you are looking for an agent who will work the hardest for you and not rush you into making a quick buying decision, then Jerry is your person. Because of his success as a real estate agent, he is now operating his own real estate business. So, give him a call when you are ready to buy that home. Jerry with Carolina Property Access was the property manager for the house we rented for 2 years and after having such a great experience working with him, we knew he was the person we wanted to help us find and purchase our 1st home. From start to finish Jerry was extremely professional, thorough and responded immediately anytime we had questions or wanted to view a home. I cannot begin to describe how helpful Jerry of Carolina Property Access has been to me. His knowledge of real estate and access to many experienced contractors is amazing. I can honestly say that without his advice and very very hard work to get a rental property in need of major updating and management, it would still be sitting in disrepair with no tenant.
