Jerry Maynard

Growing up in Winder, Barrow County, Georgia and throughout his 35 years of service to the local real estate community, Jerry Maynard has developed a great respect for his surroundings and the people that live and work in the area. Like his father before him, Jerry believes in Barrow County. Through his over 3,000 real estate closings, Jerry has learned a great deal about personalities and the many and various hurdles involved in the real estate business. He has developed an expertise in financing, estate transactions, zoning, boundary and local code issues. Clients benefit from the experience that he and his associates bring to any real estate transaction.
The past eight years have proven to be the most challenging years in the local real estate business. The Barrow County community was hit by this downturn more than most. No doubt, it will take many more years for a full recovery, but lessons have been learned and experience and knowledge gained that will insure a more stable and sustainable future growth. Jerry has been involved in numerous residential and commercial/industrial developments in the Barrow County area. As a graduate of Winder-Barrow High School, he attended Gainesville College and completed appraisal courses including Applied Residential Property Valuation and Principles of Income Property Appraising, Appraisal Application of Regression Analysis and Subdivision Analysis. He received his Georgia Real Estate License in 1978 followed by his Broker License in 1982. He is a Georgia Certified General Real Property Appraiser (1991) and received his Florida Real Estate Broker License in 2013. Jerry is a member of the Athens Area Board of Realtors and Emerald Coast Association of Realtors.
Community involvement has always been important to Jerry Maynard evidenced by his activities over the years with the Winder-Barrow YMCA, Barrow County Chamber of Commerce, City of Winder Downtown Development Authority, local high middle and high schools, Winder Rotary Club and Friends of Fort Yargo.
