We cannot say enough about Jessica's performance as our seller's agent throughout the listing and sale of my mother-in-law's home. Her professionalism, sage advice, network of seller's support services (e.g. stager, home inspector, sewer inspector, housecleaner, etc.) and sensitivity during a difficult time were all qualities that made our experience overwhelmingly positive. Above all, Jessica's communication skills with each and every family member and all of the professionals involved in listing and selling our home were so exceptional that we cannot recommend her highly enough. Jessica knows our community and our county and she knows her business backwards and forwards. We wouldn't hesitate to hire her again or recommend her without reservation. Jessica Schattenburg is an example of the best in her profession! I have bought and sold several properties and never have I felt so confident in my representation. Her integrity and attention to detail gave me so much peace in such an uncertain time. At the end of 2019 we purchased a home out of state and I relied heavily on Jessica for advice through that process and she went above and beyond to help us with that even though there was no immediate benefit to her.

We knew we wanted to list in the spring and then COVID happened! Jessica helped and counseled us every step of the way. She has such a strong and longstanding understanding of the market and can "read the tea leaves" in such a way that I felt confident following her lead. She ensured that we were prepped and ready to move forward as the situation allowed and kept us informed. She was able to think outside the box and approach the sale of this house in a creative and innovative way which allowed for an excellent offer with very minimal viewing and in full compliance with the SIP orders.

Not only did she make us feel like our success and satisfaction with this sale was her top priority, she made that happen in the midst of a global pandemic!! If only there were 10 stars! I cannot say enough positive things about Jessica! Over the years she has helped me/my family purchase 2 homes (and has always made herself available for consultations and questions over the years). Purchasing a home is a big deal, it’s scary for so many different reasons (especially if you know absolutely nothing about buying a home). Jessica put all of us at ease with her expertise, as we as with the obvious fact that she is NOT just trying to make a sale. She loves what she does, she loves to see people make a house their home. Jessica holds nothing back when it comes to her honest opinion, and ALWAYS has her clients best interests in the forefront of her mind! Jessica is the best!!!!

I cannot stress how much Jessica positively impacted my home buying experience. I have never wanted to recommend someone so much as I would recommend her! She helped in every aspect of the process - many of which were areas that were not even her responsibility.

She helped me find the right house (yard, house, school) at the right price and in even helped fix things the buyer himself could not get corrected. She then went ever further and helped me find the right people to get the house ready for my son and I to move into.

Thanks to her being a diligent, caring, highly proficient and highly professional individual she greatly impacted the happiness of my son and myself. The fact that she was both fun and nice went even further to make a stressful and exciting experience a lot more fun and exciting and a lot less stressful.

I could go on and on about how she helped, but I will simplify this. If you are looking at buying or selling a house in the Aptos, Santa Cruz or Scotts Valley area – CALL her.

Jessica is a realtor that goes the extra mile for her clients. She is personable, skilled, professional, and reliable. She is on top of all the rules and requirements that happen in our local real estate market, be it the Sewer Lateral Ordinances in Santa Cruz County, or helpful tips and information on lending. She has a wealth of knowledge in our local market and all the surrounding neighborhoods and rural areas.

Jessica pays close attention and she listens to her clients. This saves everyone valuable time and energy. It also gets her clients to their end result of buying their dream property or selling their home a whole lot faster.

Aside from being on professional and reliable, Jessica is also very nice and easy to work with. She gives back to our community though many volunteer hours to animal causes, and she founded a charitable organization supporting children's youth dance in Santa Cruz.

Jessica assisted my family in finding our first home in the Santa Cruz area. She was extremely dedicated in helping us find the right home that would fit our needs. For example, we placed an offer on a home, and she was tireless in her efforts to assist us with the offer and counter-offers. And, she is very knowledgeable about practical aspects of homes, neighborhoods and the community. She has tremendous knowledge of the proper care of homes which assisted us in purchasing our home, and, it also helped in the following years to maintain the quality of our home. Jessica worked tirelessly over a several month period to help us find a perfect mountain cabin in Santa Cruz. Her expertise with all of the paperwork involved with the convoluted process of purchasing a home were continuously evident as we were shown a wide array of tempting home options.
