Jimbo Cotton is a lifelong Austinite with over 40 years of experience in commercial real estate, specializing in brokerage, leasing, sales, site selection, development, and construction. Raised in Jollyville, he earned his real estate license at 18, became a broker by 20, and graduated from Baylor University with a B.B.A. in Marketing and Management, where he also played on the golf team.
Jimbo began his career with The Commercial Property Group before joining McAllister & Associates in 1991, where he was a consistent top producer. Known for his integrity and relationship-driven approach, he has built a trusted network that spans local, state, and national markets.
Over the years, he has developed medical offices, residential subdivisions, retail centers, and build-to-suit projects for Chick-fil-A, Texas Roadhouse, Chase Bank, Mattress Firm, and WellMed. He also served as Sonic’s preferred developer in Central Texas for more than 25 years, securing sites for over 100 locations.
Jimbo has been recognized as one of Austin’s Top 25 Heavy Hitters by the Austin Business Journal and continues to give back by supporting local nonprofits and hosting live charity auctions. He currently manages more than 500,000 square feet of commercial space, co-owns the 31,000-square-foot GattiTown in Round Rock, and serves as Vice President of Assisting Texas with Housing, Inc.
