Jim Goodman

Jim was born and raised in West Plains, MO—a small farming community in southeast Missouri where mostly pig farms dotted the landscape. He graduated from Monmouth University twice, the second time with an MBA in 1997. After serving in the Navy he lived in Spring Lake Heights, NJ for 30 years, where he and his wife, Pat, raised two children.

Jim joined AT&T (which would eventually become Verizon) in 1972 as an air conditioning mechanic and was quickly promoted to management. He eventually ended up in the real estate division at Verizon where he managed commercial real estate properties during a career that spanned 3 decades. Jim then went on to a successful career as a real estate agent, where again, he quickly ended up in management and leadership positions.

Jim and Pat have vacationed in the Brunswick County area since 1992 and in 2002 they decided to make it their permanent home. In 2013 he joined the Margaret Rudd & Associates, Inc., REALTORS® team as Vice President of Sales.

Jim has a tremendous work ethic and an infectious cheerful outlook that makes working at Margaret Rudd & Associates, a wonderful experience. He encourages a work hard, play hard mentality that keeps his team motivated and committed to their professions. When he gets to play hard, you can find him on the golf course, volunteering in the community or creating vacation memories with his two grandchildren, Jimmie, and Gabriella, who live in New Jersey. Jim is a perfect example of what makes Margaret Rudd & Associates a special kind of company.
