About Jim

Born in Oregon, James Hess lived in Oregon, California and Hawaii before relocating to
Whitesboro, Texas, to be near his daughter, grandchildren and two great-grandsons. Hess has extensive experience in property management, including the day-to-day management of
numerous apartment complexes and condominium properties.


Hess worked for the Oregon State Timber Section as a cartographic draftsman and records-
maintenance specialist for 11 years and served in the Army Reserves for six-plus years. He then moved to Napa, California, where he had a 30-year career setting tile and stone products. He achieved master tile setter status.
Hess earned his General Contractors License and designed and built bathrooms and kitchens for clients while operating his tile setting business. He employed up to 12 employees.


Hess has a strong desire to help military veterans and others find or sell homes and farms, as well as work closely with investors locating or selling investment properties. His real estate
practice places special emphasis on properties around Lake Texoma and the marinas, as well as mobile and modular homes.


Hess is considerate of his clients’ needs and time. When clients call, he responds promptly,
regardless of where he is or what he is doing.


Hess’ hobbies include gardening, raising chickens and registered dairy goats, water color and oil painting.
