Jim Kraus

He graduated from the University of Missouri with a B.J. in Advertising from the Journalism School. He spent the next 20 years in various marketing/advertising positions, including with the Kansas City Royals as a Marketing Intern, selling commercial specialty printing, and was a salesman, and then manager for several local radio stations.

In 2003, after 15 great years, he left the radio business to pursue a career in Real Estate as his father and other family members had also done. He hung his license with an old acquaintance of his father who started a company called Brookside Real Estate. After two years he decided to buy the company (and building) from the previous owner. He then became the acting broker and built a successful team, becoming one of the more recognized locally-owned and operated brokerages in the area.

What he loves about Brookside is the daily option to walk or ride a bike for almost anything he might need – whether groceries, the pharmacy, the library, dry cleaning, the bank, a cup of coffee, or virtually any meal for that matter. Most everything he needs is available within 5-10 minutes of his home – not to mention multiple beautiful parks. Yes, he’s most definitely a fan of Brookside!
