Our home buying journey began two years ago. We knew we wanted to sell our current home and buy a new one, but were unsure that it was possible because of our financial situation. Jim connected us with a lender that gave us excellent advice and set us down the right path. Jim checked in with us often and always found answers to my crazy questions. When the time finally came to sell our old home, Jim knew exactly what to do in order to make our sale go smoothly (including scheduling inspections for me!). Throughout the entire process, Jim was always quick to respond to my questions and was my cheerleader and therapist any time I was feeling discouraged. In the end, we found our dream home out in the country, within our budget. It wouldn't have been possible without Jim.

I’ve known Jim personally for several years now, so when it came time to sell our home he was the obvious choice to guide us through the process. Jim made our transition into our dream home incredibly easy. He stayed in touch with us the entire time and responds immediately. We never felt like we were on our own during our move. Jim is absolutely wonderful to work with! Being first-time homebuyers, my husband and I needed someone with experience and excellent communication between us and sellers. Jim was a perfect fit. He is honest, knowledgable, and cares about his clients. He made sure we knew every step of the process, answered our questions, and even scheduled quotes from contractors for us. In the end, we got our dream house (within our budget!), and couldn't have done it without Jim.

As first-time homebuyers, my spouse and I had lots of questions, but Jim was very patient with us. He spent time learning our likes and dislikes so he could steer us toward properties that we would like. He was responsive and got back to us quickly whenever we emailed or texted him. We enjoyed working with him and appreciate his hard work. If we ever decide to buy a larger house in the Champaign-Urbana area or sell our existing one for any reason, Jim would be the first person we would call.

Jim Schmidt was the perfect realtor for selling my home. I have worked with a few realtors both buying and selling while living in Chambana the past 15 years. He produces results and does so with precision.

By far, he is a cut above the rest. Experienced, excellent listener, decisive, fair, respectful, and has the seller’s interest at heart. I sold my house a good $12k than what I expected it to sell. He is a well respected realtor in Champaign, Including my buyer’s realtor.

We highly recommend Jim as a realtor. If I could give him more than 5 stars, I would. My husband and I were looking for a second home close to the University where our son could also live while in college. Since we are from out of town, we appreciated Jim's knowledge about the different areas and neighborhoods. He goes above and beyond to help you find that perfect house. Prompt, reliable, easy to work with and patient.
