About JJ

My name is JJ Gill, and I grew up on a 5th generation family-run cattle ranch here in Jackson called the Jackson Hole Hereford Ranch. My great-grandfather Robert Bruce Porter started the JHHR in the late 1920s with a love for ranching which has carried through to my grandfather, father, my siblings, and me. Ranching has been such an important part of my family’s history and this valley has given me memories and relationships that will last a lifetime. My grandfather Ralph Gill and my father have taught me much of what makes Jackson great and the importance of remembering the ones who helped shape what it is today. Through ranching, accounting, and even the old pharmacy known as the Jackson Drug, my family has shown great pride in this community, and I am proud to be able to carry on that legacy through real estate.
Now I help clients find that same joy this town has given me and create their own piece of history in this valley and remind clients of what past generations have taught me; Jackson will always be wild but welcoming. After attending college at the University of Kentucky I worked in Lexington as the head of marketing for a Philadelphia-based marketing firm. Using my experience in marketing, my knowledge of the area, and my passion for real estate I promise to build a confident and trusting relationship with my clients. I am proud to be working alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry at Engel & Völkers and look forward to working with you in the future.
