Joanne Hammar

Originally from the New England area, Joanne has lived in southwest Florida since 2004. Although she would love to one day visit every state in the country, which is on her bucket list, there is nowhere she’d rather live than in beautiful Venice, Florida. Her approach to real estate is what she believes to be the key to all successful sales and business ventures – building relationships, leading to trust.

Joanne’s extensive background in sales and marketing is enhanced by her talent for networking. She had a career for twenty years in the wholesale food industry in Foxboro, Massachusetts. Her experience within the hospitality industry exemplifies her passion for customer service. While living in West Lebanon, New Hampshire, she worked at Killington ski resort before owning and operating the Ne’r Beach Motel in Southern Maine. While living in Florida, Joanne was the Sales and Marketing Manager at The Sleep Inn and Suites of Port Charlotte and most recently, Director of Business Development for the Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce. She attended Bridgewater State College.

Very active in the community, Joanne was an affiliate member of Port Charlotte Women’s Council of Realtors and held a Co-Chair position on the Ways and Means Committee. She is also a graduate of Leadership Charlotte class of 2014 and holds a Competent Communicator designation from Toastmasters of America.

Outside of real estate, Joanne has been married to her husband, Jim, since 2016. She loves the beauty and tranquility of the Gulf of Mexico as well as pickleball, golf, traveling and spending quiet evenings on the lanai with a good book.
