About Joanne

JoAnne Kennedy has been both an icon and a pioneer in the Manhattan real estate industry for over 30 years. She began her career in 1978, and 10 years later co-founded Hunt Kennedy, Inc. JoAnne later expanded her business scope dramatically by co-launching Manhattan's first national franchise, Coldwell Banker Hunt Kennedy in 1996, which serviced buyers from all over the country and around the world. The business soon led to multiple offices throughout the city, all of which she managed along the way. When the company shuttered in 2009, JoAnne and many of her agents happily joined Corcoran where she has relished getting back to the heart and soul of real estate—working with sellers and buyers.

While respect and recognition have continued to follow her, JoAnne admits that her deepest fulfillment has always come from the primary mission in her career: to serve the consumer well. She is an esteemed broker and visionary who has won the hearts and loyalty of clients and peers alike with her ingenuity, creativity, and dedication. Her negotiating mantra is: “make all parties winners and have a happy closing.”

In 2010 JoAnne was joined by her daughter Nell Winslow who was born and bred in Manhattan and now lives in Brooklyn with her husband. Together JoAnne and Nell make a great team that spans the generations and covers the territory.

A native of Atlanta, GA who graduated from Vanderbilt University, JoAnne came to New York in 1969 and never left. She raised her two daughters in the city and has amassed an incredible knowledge of the New York marketplace both personally and professionally. She is a consummate real estate expert who upholds the most exceptional standards of quality service and results for every buyer and seller she represents.
