Irene is upbeat, high energy, and positive, no matter what! She is like a happy little whirlwind! She is extremely knowledgeable about her territory and the process! We had buyers the first day. They fell through. She put it back on the market and the real buyers showed up in less than two weeks. I was happy with the price, which was near asking. The nightmare that can be the period between Contract and Closing was the REAL hard work! Irene handled it with her usual upbeat energy, a smile, encouragement and attention. She is gracious and has a generous heart. I have worked with other realtors in the past years and I have never worked with a realtor I have liked so much or been so pleased with both process and result! I highly recommend you ALWAYS put her on your list to interview (I interviewed 5 total) before you choose if you are selling (or buying) in Teller County. She helped me do BOTH! After looking at several existing homes and not finding what we wanted, Stephanie suggested building our own on a lot in a neighborhood we never thought we could afford. It got done and we ended up with a beautiful custom home. When it came time to sell she guided us through the whole process, even taking care of last minute issues/repairs needed to finalize closing. She knows the area, knows the ins and outs of real estate and, most important, knows how to get things done.

We first worked with Irene in 2008 when she helped us to purchase vacant land. In 2010 we worked with her again when she helped us in the search for, and purchase of, our current home. In June of 2012 we sought Irene's expertise once again as we were looking to purchase another land parcel, and once again she did what she does best in helping us every step of the way from the search to the closing and everything in between! Irene has always been extremely responsive and helpful and we would not use any other realtor in the area. She is not only a great realtor and knows her business well, but Irene is a genuinely nice person and has made the times we have worked with her a real pleasure. Irene's assistance with us was SO excellent.....we were considering a home in Rockies - with much of process basically occurring from our home in the Midwest. Through her tools, listings, expertise and advice, we were able to remotely identify a group of listings in which we had interest, then schedule a trip to the region & meet with Irene to actually tour our targets. She helped us eliminate those that we'd obviously NOT want to pursue, and supplement the list with new/add'l ones we'd overlooked. Ultimately, Irene was the Go-To person in the region - knew the history of community, most properties and the culture/personalities of various addresses....she guided us to PERFECT spot for us, helped us work through the purchasing process, and followed up during inspections & closing. After the sale took place, she has also been invaluable source of knowledge about local tradespeople, permits/licenses, wildlife, etc etc. From A to Z (and beyond) - we couldn't have asked for better service or abilities. If there's a Super Bowl of home buying, I'd think Irene Tanis would be a shoo-in candidate to be in the competition! Working with anyone else in the region would be silly.
