Joel Huston is a Southern California native with over three decades of experience in the real estate industry, from private and publicly traded home builders, to sales, marketing and education.
After getting his start in the industry as a design draftsman, he hit the sales floor representing Markland Properties at Gainey Ranch; a high-end, luxury golf community in Scottsdale, AZ. In his first year, he outsold his seasoned peers using innovative selling tactics, like creating videos of the model homes and personalizing them for each prospective buyer. The year culminated with being named runner-up for Rookie of the Year by the Central Arizona Home Builders Association’s MAME Awards!
Mr. Huston went on to become an on-site Sales Counselor, Sales Manager in training and then a Designated Broker with Pulte Home Corporation. Mr. Huston also led sales teams for KB Home, Trend Homes, Vintage Homes of Memphis and Norfolk Homes of Huntsville, AL.
In 2012, he returned to Phoenix and focused his efforts on developing Real Estate Brokers and New Home Sales professionals as a Certified Real Estate Instructor with the Arizona School of Real Estate and Business as well as training aspiring New Home Sales Professionals with the Hyland Bay Company.
Mr. Huston also partnered with Jim Hix, an expert in the industry with over 40 years of experience, to develop “True Experts” in real estate. Their company is Homesource Consultants, Inc. and they provide consulting services to Builders and Developers with Sales Interviewing, Sales Training, CMAs, Public Report review, and Continuing Education Instruction.
