John Cribb

JOHN CRIBB has been a REALTOR® in San Luis Obispo since 1988. Throughout his career he has consistently been a top producing agent. John has served in a leadership capacity with the San Luis Obispo Association of REALTORS® since 1989, becoming its President in 1993. John was one of the founding committee members of the Central Coast Regional Multiple Listing Service (CCRMLS). In 1996, Cribb served as Chairman of Region 31 of the California Association of REALTORS®, representing San Luis Obispo and northern Santa Barbara counties. He has held other state leadership positions including Government Mortgage Committee Chair (1997), Real Estate Finance Committee Chair (2000), Legislative Committee Chair (2002), Federal Issues Committee Chair (2004), Executive Committee Liaison for Public Policy (2005), Executive Committee (2006), Association Presidents’ Leadership Forum Chair (2007). He also served as Chairman of the statewide CAR Task Force on Insurance Availability for which he was recognized as CAR 2003 Outstanding Committee Chair. In 2004 he again was recognized with this award for his chairmanship of the Federal Issues Committee. He currently serves as Chair of the Political Affairs Committee of CAR. In recognition of his many years of service to CAR, in 2005 John was elected as a Director- for- Life. Additionally, John just concluded a three-year term as one of the California directors of the National Association of REALTORS® where he served on the Conventional Lending and Finance Committee and the Public Policy Coordinating Committee. John is an active member of the community, having served on the boards of the San Luis Obispo Symphony, Mozart Festival, Pismo Light Opera Theater, Pacific Repertory Opera, American Guild of Organists and Vocal Arts Ensemble. John is also an active pianist and church organist, currently with St. Benedict’s Episcopal Church in Los Osos. For five years he accompanied the San Luis Obispo High School choirs.
