About John

He grew up in Lane and Linn counties, working in property management and construction at the age of twenty-one, focused on helping people discover great homes. He has continued his work helping people find their dream homes in his thirteenth year as a Realtor. John is familiar with every aspect of the industry representing sellers, buyers and investors in both residential and commercial markets. His work in real estate began in Hollywood, CA after twenty years in the film industry in production, video editing and as a motion-control tech with award winning production and special-effects companies.

John is dedicated to his wife Emily, and their mutual friends and family. They adore their two children and have just adopted two rescue dogs, Coco and Boomer. John loves to travel, having visited five of the seven continents and looks forward to traveling to Australia and Antarctica in the future. He’s an avid hiker and back-country camper, and has spent days of wilderness in the Cascades, High Sierras and Trinity Alps. A graduate of UCLA in Literature, John enjoys writing poetry. Reading and also cycling are year round activities for John.

Volunteer work is one of John’s passions, currently serving as Secretary on the Springfield Public Library Foundation, where he has been active the last four years fundraising with the Books and Brew committee, a yearly fundraiser. This year, John serves as the Chair of the Service projects committee for the Springfield Rotary club, and through this association has helped the Laurel Grove Cemetery Board win a Historic Preservation grant from the Oregon Heritage fund. John also works with the Springfield History Museum and supported their latest fundraiser "Fright at the Museum." John has recently joined the board of the Wildish Theater, and looks forward to providing guidance and support to the arts in Springfield.
