John Holmaas

John has lived in Gig Harbor since 1948 when he moved with his parents to a site on Gig Harbor Bay adjacent to where he and Carole now live. A graduate of Peninsula High School and the University of Puget Sound (BA in Business), John began his licensed real estate career in 1967 and obtained his Brokers license in 1968. During his real estate career John was awarded the designations of CRB (Certified Broker Manager) and CRS (Certified Residential Specialist). Client representation, marketing, project development and problem-solving are John's area of expertise, enhanced by building projects, subdivision development and light commercial ownership and property management.

John has been involved in a wide variety of land use committees that have helped shape the community into a great place to "live, work and play". The pride of his community accomplishments has been to co-chair the design, permitting and building of the Gig Harbor Lighthouse at the entrance to Gig Harbor Bay . John is actively involved on the Board of the Gig Harbor Peninsula Historical Society & Greater Tacoma Community Foundation.
