John R. Menkes is a principal at G/M Property Group, LLC and resides in Asheville, NC with his wife and two children. Prior to relocating to Asheville in 1999, he lived in Toronto, Paris and New York City where he worked for Toronto-Dominion Bank, Banque Paribas, Baring Advisors and Louis Dreyfus Property Group.

John served as Vice President of Real Estate Acquisitions for Louis Dreyfus Property Group in New York City during the 1990s, where he identified and underwrote investment opportunities throughout the United States. John’s high level of experience covers all facets of commercial real estate investment, including brokerage, principal acquisition, and development of approximately $270 million of commercial property as well as underwriting more than $2 billion in investments across North America and Europe. and Europe.
