John Michael Corswandt

Mike Corswandt has been a partner with Prime Home Buyers since its inception, working to serve the Roanoke community he calls home by providing simple and creative real estate solutions. He and partner Bobby Mountcastle founded Prime with a focus on residential real estate and brought their expertise to bear on commercial properties, as well.

Collectively, Bobby and Mike have created multiple real estate investment and holding companies in the Roanoke Valley in just two years. Most recently, the team has expanded into several community-focused and significant commercial ventures with acquisitions in Old Southwest, including the Fountain Square office building and large single-tenant medical properties. Mike focuses on direct outreach with the community to locate opportunities for investment, the purchase and sale of such properties, renovations of properties as opportunities for value-adds, and management of a large, high-performing portfolio of properties across the Roanoke Valley.

Mike was raised on a farm near Smith Mountain Lake and attended school in Roanoke, VA. After receiving his degree from Hampden-Sydney College, he built a strong career in medical device manufacturing in Richmond, however, his passion for real estate and entrepreneurship called him back to the Roanoke Valley and the community that shaped him. Since settling back in Roanoke with his wife and two small children, he has grown personally and professionally at an exponential pace and is excited to have his finger on the pulse of the upward trajectory of the City of Roanoke and be contributing to its success.
