John Muir serves buyers, sellers, and builders across the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau with a focus on luxury homes, land, and new construction. Originally from Atlanta, John spent summers in Highlands and developed a lifelong connection to the area.

After earning a degree in Real Estate from the University of Mississippi, he moved to Vail, Colorado, where he owned a fly fishing outfitting business and managed second homes—experience that translates directly to serving today’s mountain property clients.

John is a Past President of the Highlands-Cashiers Board of Realtors, a graduate of Leadership Highlands and the William C. Bass NC REALTORS® Leadership Academy, and currently serves on the NC REALTORS® Board of Directors. He is also a Trustee for the NC REALTORS® PAC and a member of the Town of Highlands Planning Board.
