John Myers

John Myers has been selling Outer Banks real estate for 38 years. He is a native of Washington, North Carolina, growing up on the waters and banks of the Pamlico River. Enjoying summer trips to Nags Head and summer employment while a student at East Carolina University instilled the love of these waters, beaches, and dunes deep within him. His love for and extensive knowledge of the area and witness of the evolution of its growth has provided him much insight and expertise. His 15 years of service on the Dare County Planning Board has given him a more complete perspective on local development while allowing him to be part of the decision-making process of promoting careful conservation and preservation of these family friendly beaches and villages. He has the good fortune of living on the shores of the Croatan Sound on Roanoke Island and spends most of his leisure time boating, fishing, crabbing and vegetable gardening. His greatest joy is his visits from his four grandchildren and watching them swim from his front yard at what they lovingly call “Pappy’s Beach”.
