John Nash

Since 2016, John has successfully built a clientele of buyers and sellers in the East Bay community. His keen local knowledge, natural warmth, and transparent communication set him apart from other agents.

John prides himself on providing his clients with top-tier service while using his outgoing personality to try and make each transaction an enjoyable one. John became a partner at Village Associates, a top boutique brokerage firm, in 2022.

John has sold 60+ million worth of real estate over the last three years focusing on the East Bay.

Personal

John was raised in Orinda and has spent nearly his entire life residing in the East Bay. He grew up in the Ivy Drive neighborhood where his parents still reside, walking to 13 years of school (Del Rey, OIS, Miramonte). John is extremely well-versed in the local aquatic sports scene.

His fondest memories revolve around spending his summers swimming & coaching at Moraga Country Club competing in the OMPA. John played water polo at Santa Clara University before living in San Francisco. In 2017, John completed the oh-so-common “migration” back to the East Bay from San Francisco and has enjoyed the moderate temperatures of home ever since!

Business Philosophy

John hates aggressive sales tactics. Instead, John prefers to foster a relationship with each client that centers on what is best for each individual on a schedule that works for them. You will never feel pressure from John to sell or buy. John aims to provide his clients with all the information necessary so that they make smart, educated decisions. While staying up to date on local market trends, incoming inventory & providing his clients with the best possible service, John tries to never take himself too seriously.

John’s strongest (and most important) skill is his communication. In a fast-moving market, agents must make themselves available to take phone calls/texts when necessary. Deals can be lost by not picking up the phone or responding in an efficient manner. If you reach out to John, you can expect to hear back shortly. Whether it’s good or bad news, you can expect to hear from John in a timely manner.

The local real estate scene is tight-knit and it’s essential to build lasting relationships with other agents within the community in order to best serve an agent’s clients. John prides himself on being a respected agent locally who other agents enjoy working with.

Family

John and his wife Jenna (a Campolindo High School graduate) have lived in Moraga since 2017 with their son Jackson and dog Ruby. Jenna works as an elementary school counselor in the Mount Diablo School District.

Jenna is a member of Lamorinda Mom’s and Jackson enjoys spotting stop signs & fire trucks around town and visiting all of the local fantastic parks. Ruby loves walks on the Lafayette-Moraga Regional Trail and cuddles with anyone who will offer them.

John and Jenna are fortunate to have discovered the best parenting hack known to mankind: living near grandparents!

Hobbies

Away from work, John enjoys spending time with family and friends whenever possible. John has always been passionate about sports and still finds time to give back to the community that gave him so much. John is the co-head coach of the Miramonte High School water polo team, which historically has been one of the top programs in Northern California.

When time allows, John enjoys traveling, golfing, and exploring the different hikes offered in the East Bay!
