About John
John was born in Charlotte and moved back after graduating with a double major in Finance and Accounting from North Carolina State University. In 1998 he was drawn to Charlotte to begin work in investment banking with Bank of America. He spent 8 years working in the commercial mortgage-backed (MBS) and asset-backed securities (ABS) area of the bank. In 2006 he made the transition to residential real estate brokerage, and he has been helping buyers and sellers of some of Charlotte’s finest homes.
John is grateful for the opportunity to assist home buyers and sellers with making one of their largest purchases. For this reason, he makes sure he gives back to his profession and community.
John has been selected and voted by his peers to serve on the Charlotte Realtor Association Board of Directors and the NC Realtors Association Board of Directors. He has served on numerous committees including the chair of the Young Professional Networking committee, the Realtor Grievance committee, and serves on the Government Affairs committee. He has been a yearly major investor of our Realtor PAC that advocates for homeowners rights, which is an important way to help further serve his clients. He also travels to Raleigh every year to meet with the state legislators to discuss issues that relate to property owners’ advocacy.
John has served as a volunteer delivering meals monthly for Friendship Trays since 2008, as a coach for Let Me Run, an F3 advocate and volunteer, volunteer at Trinity Episcopal School, and attend Myers Park Methodist Church.
Charlotte’s vibrant community and economic atmosphere create a wonderful place to grow and establish roots. Its convenient proximity to wonderful lakes, beaches, and beautiful mountains provides a wide range of options for recreational activities. Professional sports teams, rich cultural amenities, and community leadership also continues to land Charlotte as a destination for businesses and people of all ages. John is proud to call Charlotte home.
