John grew up in Coastal Orange County in a real estate family. His father was a prominent broker, and his uncle owned "Katella Realty," which was then the largest privately held real estate company in The OC. He fondly remembers those Saturday mornings when he would tail his dad to the office, with the smell of multiple pots of black coffee brewing and the sight of those jumbo, plastic-covered listing books spread out along oak tables. Ah, the days before computers. After graduating from UC Santa Barbara, John became a licensed agent in 1988. In his career, he has been involved in home flipping, investment sales, and property management. His sales philosophy is Selling is not telling but asking questions and listening.
His front-row home on the prestigious El Niguel Golf Course overlooks the famed 7th fairway. His mom has lived in Monarch Beach area for almost 35 years. John has been an active resident of both the cities of Laguna Niguel and Dana Point and understands why people love calling them home.
