John Theodorakis

John Theodorakis is a true native of the greater Wilmington area. Born and raised right in between Wrightsville Beach and Pleasure Island, John has called Wilmington home since 1988. He continued his education after high school right here at Cape Fear Community College and the University of North Carolina Wilmington. While supporting himself through college he worked with some local custom home builders, building high end waterfront homes along the Intracoastal Waterway. In 2012 he obtained his U.S.C.G captain’s license and started a local charter fishing company that he still operates. John also writes a fishing column for the Island Gazette at Carolina Beach and is an active member in the Got-Em-On live bait club. It is obvious to say that John has a passion for the outdoors as well as the community he lives in.
