I have lived in Whatcom County my whole life, and I am proud to call Lynden my home. Within 20 min-2 hours, I can be fishing on Nooksack river or the ocean, Skiing Mt. Baker or Whistler, and visiting Seattle or Vancouver BC. My native town of Lynden is well kept, quiet, and has a farm/country charm. It is an easy commute to nearby Bellingham, WA, home to Western WA University, large retail stores, the hospital, and airport. Lynden has a great school district & athletic system, ball parks, trails, art center, golf course, retirement center, and manufacturing employment opportunities. NW Washington Fair (which holds a lot of other events within itself) is hosted in Lynden, and attracts people from all around. Lynden also holds other events throughout the year like the Raspberry Festival, Winter lights & farmers day parade, fishing derby, and many others.
