As a Realtor® since 1984, John initially distinguished himself in the Washington, DC real estate market by assisting numerous foreign missions with both their commercial and residential requirements. His work with the diplomatic community required developing trust, establishing cross-cultural relations, and providing comprehensive service and guidance through the real estate process, and particularly the Washington market. As natural outgrowth of this experience John gained a thorough knowledge of the “Upper Bracket” DC real estate market. In due course, John’s work evolved and expanded to include work with private clients, investors as well as his continued work with Washington’s foreign missions. His clients are provided with his commitment to successful results as a Listing and/or Buyer’s agent, with a personalized, dedicated approach. Over the years, he has earned a lasting reputation for service, knowledge, discretion, and trust. Initially mentored by Washington real estate “doyenne,” Jeanne Begg of BEGG Realtors in Georgetown, John later joined TTR Sotheby’s International Realty. Significant listings and/or sales include the Cafritz Estate, now the Field School on Foxhall Road, while notable clients include US Senators, Congressmen, Cabinet members (former Secretaries of the Navy, Commerce, Veteran Affairs), members of the Spanish Royal Family, the former Spanish Foreign Minister, members of various royal households from Middle Eastern countries, H.E. the French Ambassador and the government of France, the Government of Spain, founders and CEO's of major corporations, and private clients both from the America and abroad. He is an alumnus of George Washington University with an interdisciplinary BA in “French Literature, European Diplomatic History and European Art History from the French Revolution to the Present.” John’s studies abroad at Sophia University, Tokyo, Japan, extended his international perspective. His language studies have included French, Greek, Spanish, Arabic, Japanese and Italian. John’s international perspective and interests stem from an early age when, awhile still traveling extensively throughout his life. Post-university, John joined the Forum for International Art and Culture, based in Washington, DC and San Francisco, California, sponsoring international cultural events in the United States. John was logistical administrator, co-producer, and editor for a two and a half month American, Canadian and United Nations concert tour of legendary superstar, Fayrouz, from Lebanon.
