As a person with no knowledge of owning a home, I had no clue on what to do. Prior to consulting with Johnny of PRIVI Realty, I took a first-time home buyers' course, although it was informative, I was still unsure what my next step were. A friend who was also in the home buying process recommended me to speak to Johnny. I’m so glad I did because everything my friend highlighted about him was LEGIT. I was sold on how thorough Johnny’s organization is and how driven he is in helping families purchase their first home. When I got in touch with Johnny, I had the pleasure of also meeting and working alongside his business partner, Patty Hoang. With Johnny's banking background, knowledge of the first-time home buying process and local grants/programs; Patty's architectural knowledge, keen eye to detail, both of their knowledge of the current housing market-they are the perfect duo that will definitely make the whole process run smoothly!

During our first consultation, one of the major qualities I looked for in a realtor was communication and open honesty. Working with Johnny and Patty, they were extremely COMMUNICATIVE: each week, I was provided with updates and Google meetings to see where we were currently at within the process and what was next. Reviewed anything that came up with the lenders and home insurance, and they would always answer my major/non-urgent questions within the same day or next day. They were extremely ORGANIZED: Johnny introduced me to an app called Asana which broke down each task-very stress relieving-it is a godsend of an app as it lists everything that we needed to complete within a timeframe. All tasks were met, and I couldn’t believe how far we’ve gotten.

Working with Patty Hoang together or separately when Johnny was not available. “Two realtors for the price of one.” Patty is amazing, with her experience in buying a home herself and the knowledge she has, she helped ease my worries of things to look out for in a home such as structural damage, leaks, estimated cost of services, solar panel approvals and so on. They boosted my confidence with market trends and understood the market expertly.

Johnny held my hand through the pre-approval process, he communicated timely with the lenders and basically handled the whole process for me. Because of the advice of the first-time home buyers' course, it was advised to shop around and so I did and obtained an EVEN LOWER RATE! I would have been completely lost with the financials if it wasn’t for Johnny. Seriously he held my hand with this process as I am not great with numbers-he broke down the financials several times for me.

The open honesty was always shown from the beginning and during these tours, it was something I appreciated. Because this is a major purchase that requires TIME and MONEY, I was advised some of these homes for sale were not IT as they saw potential high-risk issues. Looking back at it now, I’m so glad they were upfront about the possibility of disaster and took my qualifications into major consideration.

Final tour, Johnny and Patty, went right into putting an offer together and the day of the offer being accepted, Johnny and Patty were able to negotiate proficiently in getting our OFFER FINALLY ACCEPTED!!! I was lucky! Our first OFFICIAL offer being accepted! Truly unbelievable! Each week it was coming close to closing. Johnny and Patty were able to negotiate the appraisal for market rent at where we wanted it to be just in time! AMAZING WORK! I was able to officially have my loan approved and close on time.

Could have not asked for a better agent then Johnny Long. If I was him, I would of been ripping my hairs out working with me for 9 long months in such a competitive market. He was very patient and knowledgeable. We got up to 12k in sellers credit and other grants he knew about. I’d highly recommend him.
