Johns Knight

Born and raised on Boca Grande, few professionals can boast the extensive, multi-generational background of Johns Knight Jr, whose family ancestors settled in the Boca Grande-Charlotte Harbor area in the 1840s. This enduring familiarity with the communities, waterways and amenities of Gasparilla Island is a true asset to his clients, who seek the wealth of area knowledge developed in over five decades of residency.

Johns entered the real estate field in 2004 with Boca Grande Real Estate, where he helped home buyers and sellers throughout Florida’s Gulf Coast. As a waterfront specialist, Johns has his US Coast Guard Master License, which is a necessity for showing properties by boat.

Johns is one of the founders of the Boca Grand Chamber of Commerce and served as its president multiple times. He is also the founder of the World’s Richest Tarpon Tournament and is a past director of the Fishing Guides Association. He is also a founding member of the Historic Society, a volunteer firefighter, and the director of the Lee County Reef Association. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, boating, hiking, and exploring the many back bays and uninhabited islands in the Boca Grande-Charlotte Harbor area.
