Jonathan will also give you the Barfield & Associates Buyer Guidebook that will also explain the home buying process in detail and give you definitions of key words you will hear throughout the home buying process. As a Graduate of REALTOR® Institute (or GRI) he has attained the knowledge necessary to represent you whether you are buying or selling a home and make sure that you are getting the benefit of the deal. His goal is to find the home you want at a price you can afford or help you to sell your home at the price you want. As a CRS designee, a designation that less than 5% of REALTOR® nationwide hold, he has gained additional knowledge and expertise in many areas of real estate such as business planning, listing strategies, buyer strategies, and marketing. Jonathan has also earned the SRES designation, Seniors Real Estate Specialist. By earning the SRES designation, your REALTOR® has demonstrated necessary knowledge and expertise to counsel senior clients through major financial and lifestyle transitions involved in relocating, refinancing, or selling the family home. Your REALTOR® has received special training, gets regular updates, and is prepared to offer the options and information needed in making life changing decisions.
Commissioner Jonathan Barfield, Jr. has been a resident of New Hanover County since age one and graduated from New Hanover High School in 1984. He is a veteran of the US Navy and is the owner of Barfield & Associates Realty, LLC. He has been a licensed Realtor since 1997 and served as president of the Wilmington Regional Association of Realtors in 2007. Commissioner Barfield is married to Laura Renita Barfield, and they have four daughters. His favorite pastimes are reading and golf.
