President and Founder of Knight Corporation, Jon represents and provides consulting services for corporations and individuals in the leasing, acquisition, disposition and re-development of real estate assets, and all related disciplines. He has participated in real estate transactions approaching $300,000,000.00.
Following graduation from Boston University with a major in Finance and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, Jon became an investment broker with a New York Stock Exchange member firm in St.Louis. His transition into commercial, industrial and investment real estate in St. Louis and Dallas led to a four-year engagement in Chicago as corporate real estate manager for a Fortune 500 company.
Jon has earned the professional designations of CCIM (CCIM Institute), AIRE (Association of Industrial Real Estate Brokers) and RECS (Real Estate CyberSpace Society). He has served as President, Illinois CCIM Chapter, and as a member of the CCIM Institute Board of Directors for three years. He is founding Chairman of the Chicago Chapter of the Real Estate CyberSpace Society (RECS) and is a member of NICAR (Northern Illinois Association of Realtors). Peer recognition is evidenced by his membership in two by-invitation only organizations, REAA (Real Estate Advisor Alliance), a group of recognized experienced commercial brokers, and the Realtors Forty Club, an exclusive affiliation available to only 40 top Realtors in Illinois.
Community activities included coaching youth sports, Chairmanship of the Barrington Youth Football Club and service on the Consensus Committee of the Citizen's Advisory Committee to the Barrington School Board. Jon is Chairman of the Barrington Hills Zoning Board of Appeals. The father of five children, he and his wife, Kathryn, reside in Barrington Hills.
