Jose Serrano

Working since 2012 in Miami commercial real estate, Jose Maria “Chepe” Serrano is skilled in executive levels of management, financial operations, sales and market development and more. His knowledge of domestic and international real estate as well as his analytical and decision-making set him apart in the commercial Real estate industry.
Serrano is the broker and owner of New Miami Realty in Miami. Serrano and his brother, Gabriel, opened the Miami firm in 2003.
Serrano holds a B.A. in economics from Florida International University in Miami.
Serrano is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), a designation that recognizes him as a leading expert in commercial investment real estate. Serrano earned his CCIM designation in 2013. He also owns a Florida real estate instructor license since 2007, and currently serves as a faculty member for Florida Realtors.
Leadership positions
Serrano has served in a leadership position with the nation’s largest local Realtor group, the MIAMI Association of REALTORS® (MIAMI) since 2009. He is a long-time member of the commercial arm (RCA MIAMI) of the MIAMI Association of REALTORS®. Serrano served as the 2017 President of RCA Miami.
In 2019, Serrano serves as the chairman of the MIAMI Association of REALTORS®, which has 47,000 members, the largess Real estate association in United States.
Serrano is a member of the Florida Realtors board of directors. He serves in the Commercial Alliance Committee as chair for 2019, as well as in the Curriculum Development and Instructors Faculty Development sub-committees.
Serrano also serves on the board of directors of the CCIM Florida Chapter, 2019 VP of Administration.
At the state level, Serrano has served on 33 committees and counting for Florida Realtors. He is a Florida Realtors-accredited instructor and teaches regularly at the local and state level.
At the national level, Serrano serves on the Board of director and is currently a member of NAR’s Professional Standards Committee.
Awards
In 2018, Serrano was awarded the instructor of the year for the Miami Association of realtors.
In 2017, Serrano was awarded the prestigious 2017 Commercial Achievement Award by the Florida Realtors® for his excellence in commercial real estate, and his dedication and commitment.
Serrano has earned several honors from Miami. In 2013, the MIAMI Association of REALTORS® (MIAMI) named him the Commercial Broker of the Year. In 2010, MIAMI named him the Commercial Educator of the Year.
In the Community
A devout Catholic, Chepe is an active member in his Miami parish. He helps his church in the married couple ministry “Matrimonios en Victoria/Marriages in Victory” and in the marriage preparation ministry “FOCCUS.”
