Joseph Lewis is the Designated Broker for Zoned Properties Brokerage, LLC that operates as the transactional brokerage division of Zoned Properties, Inc. Mr. Lewis has a multi-decade background in complex real estate development and community engagement. Prior to joining Zoned Properties, Joseph was the founder and principal of The Real Estate Brokers in Tempe, Arizona. Throughout his career, Lewis has owned and managed a portfolio of commercial, industrial and residential properties, including historical retail properties, industrial site developments, vacation home rentals, and many unique project developments such as Mother Bunch Brewery, Cheba Hut, LUV Bridal, Table Tops ETC, Keith & Melissa Pitts photographers, and the Bisbee Ventures Opportunity Zone Fund.
Lewis has a longstanding commitment to community engagement and civil service. During the course of a two-term cycle, over eight years, Mr. Lewis was an elected city council member in the City of Tempe where he spent years contributing to the development of the City of Tempe as Vice Mayor, Chair of the Economic Development Committee, and Chair of the Neighborhood Enhancement Committee. Following his back-to-back service as a councilmember, Lewis founded My Local News: Real News Real Local, an online news platform focused on local community organizations and events. Mr. Lewis continues to expand the electronic news platform as its publisher and developer.
Prior to his experience in the real estate and civil service sectors, Mr. Lewis gained valuable experience as a start-up entrepreneur when he built Full Spectrum Audio Visual from the ground up in 1985 and sold the organization after twenty years of operations. Throughout his experience in business and community service, Mr. Lewis has remained a valuable asset to the communities and organizations to which he has devoted his personal and professional time.
